Support Needed for Scholarship Funds
The Scholarship Committee needs your help with this year’s fundraiser – a collection and compilation of recipes for publishing in the first-ever CLAHS Staff Association Cookbook. Submit your favorite recipes (limit 10 per person) via email to Lori Berry (loberry@vt.edu) or Stephanie Snider (sniders@vt.edu) by August 1, 2008. You should include the name of the recipe, ingredients, measurements, baking times and the name of the person submitting the recipe. Copies of the cookbook will be sold throughout the year with all proceeds going to the CLAHS Staff Association Scholarship Fund.
Due to the overwhelming generosity of the staff, faculty and students in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, the Staff Association Scholarship Committee has awarded $500 scholarships to three deserving students. The 2007-08 recipients are:
Amanda L. Edwards, Curriculum & Instruction
Ashley D. Myers, Interdisciplinary Studies
Catherine M. Shelor, Communications
The students were recognized at the CLAHS Annual Awards Ceremony on April 18, 2008.
Volunteers are needed to serve on Committees for 2008-09. If you are interested in serving on any of the committees, or if you are already on a committee and would like to continue to serve, please complete the Committee Volunteer form.
